Learn about our privacy policy

1. Data collection
Every web server automatically registers accesses to websites. When you visit our website, our server temporarily records the domain name or IP address (in anonymized form by omitting the last digits) of the requesting computer as well as the date of access, the file name and the URL that you accessed, the HTTP response code and the website from which you are visiting us, as well as the bytes transferred during the connection. This information is stored anonymously. It is not possible to draw conclusions about your person or your individual behavior. Any additional personal data is not collected unless you expressly provide this information as part of registration or an order. We handle your data responsibly and in accordance with legal requirements.

2. Use of data
Computer-related data is stored by us in order to record trends and compile statistics. This stored data is also used for the purpose of identifying and tracking unauthorized access attempts to our web server. We create profile information about the use of our websites exclusively anonymously and only to improve user navigation and optimize the offer to user interests. No personal surfing profiles or the like are created or processed from this. We collect, store and process your submitted personal data only to the extent necessary to process inquiries or orders. All customer data is stored and processed by us in compliance with the relevant provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the Teleservices Data Protection Act (TDDSG). We do not share your personal data with third parties, unless we are required to do so due to mandatory legal regulations or if you decide to do so yourself.

3rd cookies
Cookies are small text files (max. 4 kilobytes in size) that our website and forum send to your browser and are stored on your computer to store them there as an anonymous identifier. The purpose of these cookies is, for example, to enable a login function, to better control the connection during your visit and/or shopping, and to provide more effective assistance when you return to our site. Without this temporary “caching”, entries that have already been made would have to be made again for some applications. A cookie only contains the data that a server outputs and/or the user enters upon request (e.g. user name, domain information, path, expiration date, cookie name and value). They therefore contain purely technical information, no personal data. A cookie cannot spy on a hard drive. Our site only uses cookies in exceptional cases! These are only stored until the end of your browsing session, i.e. when you close your browser, they lose their validity. If you wish, you can generally suppress the storage of cookies via your web browser or decide whether you wish to save them by message or not. However, the failure to accept cookies may result in some pages no longer being displayed correctly or certain functions being no longer available correctly.

4. Rights
Of course, we would be happy to inform you about the use of the personal data you have provided to us. You have a right to information about the personal data stored about you and also a right to correct, block and delete incorrect data. We expressly point out that all our employees are required to maintain data secrecy in accordance with the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).

5. Scope of applicability/Links
This data protection declaration applies solely to all websites for which the “DIVA Service Center” is responsible. Our website may contain references (“hyperlinks”) to websites of other operators. We have set these links because we think that these pages might be of interest to you. We have no influence on the design and content of these websites and we cannot control how the providers of the linked websites handle your information, so our privacy policy and area of responsibility do not extend to their websites. If you have any questions about this, please contact these operators directly.

6. Google Analytics web analytics system
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and which enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity for website operators and to provide other services related to website activity and Internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if this is required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Google will never associate your IP address with other data from Google. You can prevent the installation of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to fully use all functions of this website. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner described above and for the purposes set out above. You can object to the collection and storage of data at any time with effect for the future. Find out more here. In view of the discussion about the use of analysis tools with full IP addresses, we would like to point out that this website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp ()” and therefore IP addresses are only processed in abbreviated form to rule out a direct link to an individual person.”

7. Timeliness of this data protection statement
This data protection declaration is currently valid and dated December 02, 2013. If our site introduces new services or products, changes Internet processes or if Internet and IT security technology evolves, the updated data protection declaration will be published here and is valid from the date of publication.
